For those curious souls this is the order that we usually follow at our practices:

30 minutes before practice starts. Winner Time, time for you to prepare yourself, start throwing, chat, and ask anything about ultimate or the team in general.

Start of practice:
15 min: Warm up. Time to get your muscles and metabolism into action.
30 min: Physical training. Full body workout to improve strength and resistance.
45 minTactical and technical training. Group exercises to improve diferents movements
30 min: Pachanga” Scrimmage. Game of ultimate with specific conditions to practice flow and movement of the game.
15 min: Stretching. Cool down to relax the muscles.

Winner Time:

We will throw for approximately 30 minutes while people continue to arrive to practice. This time gives new players an opportunity to improve their throws and get specific advice from more experienced players.

Warm up:

The warm up is the most essential phase of practice. By warming up our muscles we put ourselves into action and help prevent injury. The warm up and initial drills will begin slowly and progressively increase the intensity.

Physical Training:

We believe it is extremely important to maintain and improve our individual athletic abilities. This doesn´t mean just running but also jumping and being able to physically handle an entire ultimate game. (1 game is 90 minutes) We believe that the best players are the most physically fit and have great control over their bodies.

Tactical and Technical Training:

In ultimate we utilize drills and exercises that simulate real game situations. This gives players the ability to adapt and prepare for games through repetition and development of physical capabilities.

“Pachanga” or Scrimmage:

Before playing an actual game we will put everything we have practiced together in a scrimmage. We will get the chance to get to know each other and create on field chemistry that will allow us to win games and play to the best of our ability.

Stretching:
It’s of extreme importance that we take time to stretch at the end of practice. If we stop immediately and don´t give our muscles the opportunity to slowly relax this will lead to injury and a loss of time playing ultimate.
